Final Project Response

My new blog, http://mswheat.edublogs.org is a work in progress. I am attempting to set up a way for students to interact with one another and myself about novels that will be discussed in class. If students are absent from a class and they have internet access, they can visit my blog and receive information from the discussion, as well as add to the discussion.

I believe this can change one way I present information to my students. This format will attempt to have students more involved and responsible for their education and learning. My intentions are to post the discussion questions for the novels, The Glory Field, and, Night, ahead of time to give the students a “jumping off” point or things to be thinking about as they read these novels.

After perusing the site, Moving at the Speed of Creativity, I realize that more and more paper and pencil tasks are pretty much null and void. Most daily tasks can be performed with some form of technology, such as daily event scheduling, daily communications, checking scores of games or the stock market. This has a an impact on the paper industry in all facets, loss of jobs, less pollution from the mills, etc… Any thoughts??

I have decided to create a Blog for my Language arts class. I feel this will allow my students to continue to be interactive with the material being taught in class, with me, with each other, and potentially experts in the area being discussed in class.
